Not to be confused with "Black" Sea salt, this salt from the Black Sea located between far-southeastern Europe and the far-western edges of the continent of Asia and the country of Turkey. This salt is a type of mineral salt that is mostly used in Indian cuisine. Its herby and slightly sulfurous aroma and flavor are good matches for other strong savory flavors.
