This is a sweetener commonly used in various smoked sausage products. A sugar product that is just 70% as sweet as sugar. It assists fermentation in semi-dry and dry cured sausage. It also helps reduce nitrate to nirite as the meat is cured. Dextrose is a bit lighter than cane sugar which helps it to mix better.
